Idea stage

Give without being on display.

An early idea for private donations on Solana.

This form is a non-functional placeholder. Nothing is collected or sent anywhere.

What it aims to do

Generosity doesn't need an audience.

On a public chain, every donation normally pins a wallet, and everything that wallet owns, to a cause. Quietgive is an idea for fixing that one thing, and only that.

Give privately

The aim: donate to a campaign without your donor wallet being listed on its public donor roll.

Amounts stay yours

The size of each individual gift is meant to stay hidden, so no one is compared, pressured, or targeted for giving more or less.

A total anyone can check

The campaign's running total is meant to be publicly verifiable, so organisers stay accountable even when donors aren't named.

How it works (planned design)

Many quiet gifts, one honest total.

A simplified picture of the mechanism we intend to build. Details such as the exact proof system are still undecided, and none of this exists as audited code yet.

1

Choose a campaign

A campaign is public: its purpose, its organiser and its destination address are visible to everyone.

2

Give into a pool

Your gift enters a shielded pool as a private commitment, rather than a labelled transfer from you to the cause.

3

Prove, don't reveal

The pool is designed to prove its campaign total is correct without revealing who contributed or each amount.

4

Organiser withdraws

The organiser draws funds out to their public address, and that withdrawal is visible on-chain.

Privacy model

What's hidden. What isn't.

Quietgive aims to reduce on-chain linkability between a donor wallet and a campaign. It does not make anyone anonymous. Here is the line, drawn plainly.

Intended to be hidden

  • Which wallet gave to a given campaign.
  • The amount of each individual donation.
  • The link between a donor's funding wallet and the campaign they supported, on-chain.

Stays public

  • That the campaign exists, its description, and the organiser's address.
  • The aggregate verified total raised by the campaign.
  • Organiser withdrawals, which are ordinary public transfers.
  • The fact that deposits into the pool happened, including their timing.

Known limitations — please read

  • Reduced linkability, not anonymity. Timing, wallet funding history and off-chain behaviour can still point back to you. We make no guarantee of anonymity or untraceability.
  • Totals can leak small gifts. If a campaign's public total moves by a visible step right after one deposit, that gift's size can be inferred. Small or quiet campaigns are the most exposed.
  • Early idea, devnet stage. Nothing here is live on mainnet and nothing has been audited. Do not use it for real funds.
  • No tax receipts or verification of causes. Quietgive does not vet campaigns or organisers, and private gifts are harder to document for tax purposes. Check the rules that apply to you.
  • Not affiliated. Quietgive is independent of pump.fun, the Solana Foundation and any other project. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including any fundraising, sanctions and reporting rules.
